Showcasing Components

I decided it was time to give my components a bit more visibilty, so I've added boxes for them at the top of the frontpage. These boxes should include direct links to all necessary information for each component, instead of each part being hidden somewhere far down in the menus, which will hopefully make things easier to find.

Each component will also get a logo soon, I'm going to start working on them in the next few days, but don't expect anything spectacular as I'm not a designer. I wouldn't mind help on the logo design if any of you are good with Photoshop or Illustrator.

The instructions were written by Brat from the forum.

The next patch release of Mamblog will add support for this so that the hack won't be necessary.

Jx Latest Commented supports Joomla 1.5 and themes

Show latest commented on items from Joomla! content, Mamblog, Jx Directory or Weblinks. Supports !JoomlaComment v2.40, Gabrovo, Combo MAX v3.4.0, MosCom 0.8n and various versions of AkoComment.

Two new versions have been released, one for Joomla 1.0.x and one for Joomla 1.5. They are exactly the same, except for the xml installation file in J15 to support Joomla 1.5 without legacy mode.

Jx Latest Commented v1.5 adds support for Joomla 1.5 and for themes on pages (added Itemid to link). For Joomla 1.0.x or Joomla 1.5 running under legacy mode.

Jx Random Quote updated

With the new Jx Random Quote v1.1 it is now even easier for the administrator to add new quotes! This new version allows the admin to add quotes in the administrator backend to use in addition to the quote file, or instead of it. There is also a detailed documentation added, which describes in detail how the module works.

Jx Random Quote shows one or more randomized quotes from a text file or from quotes entered in the administrator backend. Also uses a simple template to allow the admin to change the look of the quote. A short example file with quotes are supplied.

NOTE: This module can be used in Joomla 1.5 beta1, even without using legacy mode, except for the fact that linebreaks in the text area fields aren't allowed, so you cannot use the "Additional Quotes" field. The quote file part should work properly though.

Jx Title Flag

The Jx Title Flag plugin that adds flag icons next to content item titles has been released in a new version as well, which only includes a rewritten documenation.

Jambook fixes

I've released beta5 of Jambook which includes a couple of bug fixes, the missing Dutch translation file and a full Swedish translation as well as a few new image files which will be used in the stable version.
