I haven't had time to do much lately since I've been busy with other things. I have receieved several language files for both Jobline and Mamblog though which have been added to the code. A stable version of Jobline v1.1 will probably be released soon with some minor bug fixes and the new language files.
I've already done some coding on the next version of Jobline as well though, and will hopefully be able to do more work next week. After that I hope I could get a relase candidate of Mamblog out the door with all changes needed for it to work with Mambo 4.5.2 out-of-the-box as well as some other bug fixes.
I've also done some work on a cute little stand-alone web script to create pdf documents with card game cards and it's working really smooth now. It only works for one specific game at the moment, namely Fluxx from Looney Labs, but I'm thinking of adding support for other games, and maybe even company calling cards. This might also be created as a Mambo component, if there is any interest, at the moment I've only created it for my own benefit. |

It was a long time I wrote something in my development blog, I just can't seem to be able to find the time. But I thought I'd mention that some more work has been done on Jobline, so there might be yet another release coming up next month or so. Features includes customizeable posting entry, a Polish language file and the ability to have different sets of states. Polish and Australian already added, except for US, and if you send me other lists I will add them as well.
I haven't forgotten about the Mamblog users either, even though it's harder to justify development that will probably never give me any clients. The next version will however hopefully be out next month as well, which should include fixes for it to work properly with Mambo 4.5.1 and 4.5.2.
Read on for more development thoughts. |

I've finished Jobline v1.0.2 which includes a couple of new features as well as updates to make it work properly with Mambo 4.5.1. The new features are: configuration option to remove the US State field, a new drop-down on job postings to select Job Status. This version will be released soon. |

I've done some work on Jobline and it now works properly with both Mambo 4.5 and Mambo 4.5.1. I still need to check that it works with PHP5 and possible add a couple of small new features before I'm releasing it. Should bee soon though. |

A small bug was found in Jobline 1.0 which made the US state to show up as "1" regardless of what was chosen. This has been fixed in the new 1.0.1 release of the component, which also includes one fix for compatibility with Mambo 4.5.1, although more needs to be done to make it completely working. |

The first of the components and modules announced last week has now been released.
Jobline is a component that was developed for a client, PICnet, Inc., and they have allowed it to be released as GPL. There are some small changes done to the component but nothing significant and it has been tested thoroughly so it should stable to use on production sites.
The other components and modules will be released over the next couple of weeks, as soon as I get the time to write instructions and make sure they work properly for others to use. |

I've finished the work on updating the integration for Links 2.0 and Links SQL from Gossamer Threads and it seems to work well. This component will be released as GPL once it has been tested to work.
I will now start working on adding some features to the Accombo component. |

I've made quite a lot of changes to the Work in Progress page and added a few new projects I'm working on and rearranged some of the old projects as well as added information on others.
If you are interested in what I'm working on at the moment you can take a look at that page. I will try to keep it updated whenever anything changes. |

I've spent a couple of hours working on a template for specification documents for developing Mambo components. This will be used for all development of commissioned components in the future, and possible for some of my GPL:ed components as well. Hopefully this will make the components better and misunderstandings between me and clients will be minimal.
If anyone has any recommendations for what would be needed in such a document I would very much appreciate it if they could relate it to me. I would also like to have someone to look it over so that I'm not missing anything essential. If it is good enough I might release here on the site for others to use. |

I took the time to update the vbtomambo vBulletin user exporter today to fix
some bugs in the first release.
It is now possible to use separate databases for vBulletin and Mambo, as
originally intended, and user ACL settings are properly set.
If you used the old version of the script you should upgrade, and follow the
instructions in the readme on how to fix the settings of already imported
users.
The new version of vbtomambo
can be found in the File
Archive. |

I've finally upgraded to the latest version of Simpleboard from the very, very old version I was running. Since there were no official way to upgrade from a version this old anymore I had to do some database diving to make it work, hopefully I haven't screwed anything up.
This new versions is a lot smoother to administrate and has quite a lot of extra functionality on the frontend as well, so hopefully it will make the support forum experience a lot better. |
