Written by Olle Johansson
Sunday, 12 October 2008

Question

How do I change the look of the component? I want to change the html that is shown on the page.

Answer

Almost all html are available to edit in templates from the component administration. Just select "List Templates" from the Jobline component menu, then click on the page you want to change. Please see the manual for more information on how to edit the templates.

Application button won't show when viewing a job posting PDF Print E-mail
Written by Olle Johansson
Friday, 17 November 2006

Question

When viewing some job postings the application button won't show up.

Answer

This is due to the fact that the job needs to have a contact email where the application will be sent when filling in the form. It makes no sense to allow the application button if the data won't be used.

Tiny Edit Box PDF Print E-mail
Written by Olle Johansson
Wednesday, 15 November 2006

Question

If, when you edit an item, the editor field is extremely tiny, about 1 pixel by 1 pixel wide, the width and height for the editor isn't set in the configuration.

Answer

To fix this, go to to the Jobline configuration in the Joomla administrator backend and set the values of Editor Width and Editor Height to something like 400 and 200.

Job postings won't save when using OpenSEF PDF Print E-mail
Written by Olle Johansson
Wednesday, 15 November 2006

Question

When using the OpenSEF component, saving job postings in the frontend won't work and the user is redirected to the frontpage.

Answer

This is due to the fact that OpenSEF doesn't recognize the form in the component and just redirects to the frontpage instead. At the moment I don't know if the OpenSEF developers will fix this.

There are however two workarounds for this problem. The first is that you go to the OpenSEF configuration and turn off "Enforce Canonical URLs?" under the Features tab. The other solution is to turn off SEF for the Jobline component in the OpenSEF settings, by checking the "Exclude" checkbox next to Jobline on the Components tab in the OpenSEF settings.
