Custom Development |
|
Due to taking on a full-time job as a Systems Architect, I'm not available for custom development anymore.
I'm planning on keeping my extensions updated as well as adding new features. For people interested in custom development for my extensions you could ask on the Support Forum. If I can't help, someone else might be able to. |

A new minor version of Jobline was released today. This release adds a long awaited feature: attaching a file to the application form.
Changes
- NEW: CV file attachment functionality added to application form.
- Updated languages: Turkish
Upgrade instructions can be found in the Jobline documentation.
I've also updated the Jx Show Jobs module so that it works properly with the current version of Jobline.

JX Share Link allows you to add a drop-down box with share links for several different social bookmarking sites.
This plugin is designed for Joomla 1.5. To install go to the install/uninstall extensions page of Joomla Administrator and upload the package file. Then go to the Plugin Manager page and activate the plugin. Make sure you also check the parameters.
This plugin contains 19 different social bookmarking sites, English and Swedish translations, several different share icons from both the Open Share Icon Project and the Share Icon Project.
It's also possible to choose between showing all share links directly above or below the content, or to have the share links open up in a drop-down menu when clicking the share icon. The transition and effect of the drop-down can also be tweaked. It's even possible to place the share icon next to the print/pdf/send email icons below the article title in some templates.
It's possible to easily ignore share sites from being listed by changing a parameter in the administration section. For the advanced user, it's also possible to add extra sites by modifying the parameters.
If you want more social bookmarking sites to be added to future versions of this plugin, please contact me with information about them.

I've released a new module for Joomla 1.5 which allows you to track users with the Woopra analytics application. You need a Woopra account to use this functionality.
Publish the module in the debug or footer module position and enter your Woopra ID in the parameters. You also have the option to track user information with this module. This way, if visitors are logged in, their username, email and gravatar will show up in the Woopra statistics! You also have the ability to disallow tracking of logged in admins.

When my old server crashed I got several offers from kind benefactors in the Joomla community to host the site on their servers or web accounts. Offers continued to come in during my entire downtime, as well as many people sending kind words and hoping the site will be up soon. It never seizes to impress my just how helpful and warm the Joomla community is.
The first one of these offers came almost immediately and it was from a company called Mostly Mojo.
I decided to take them up on the offer, since I wasn't going to be able to set up another server very soon. Unfortunately, I never had the time to retrieve the site from backups and setting it up.
Recently I purchased a VPS account for all my other sites. For convenience sake, I decided to keep all my sites in one place. Because of that I'm running JX Development at my own VPS account.
If you are in the need of hosting, or web design work, I can definately recommend this company.
