Hi,

I have used Jambook 1.0 on Joomla 1.0 for some time. Migrated to 1.5 and decided to start over with empty tables (clean install).

But the configuration menus in admin don't work.

Only the menu for imports are working. Alla others are dead.

Anyone more with this problem? The com is unusable. Can't configure it.

I've just tested with Joomla 1.5.8 and it works perfectly for me.

Could you give any further details about your setup? What kind of browser are you using? What do you mean by dead, are they not clickable at all or to they take you to a blank page? If so, could you describe the page, and the URL you arrive at?

Have you tried reinstalling the component?

Hey Olle!

I have now tried "everything", but the latest version of Jambook won't work with my Joomla 1.5.8-page. I can install it, the usual way, but in the list of my components it has a red X (and it says that it won't work without legacy mode...).
But I have tried legacy mode on and off.
I'm kind of a Joomla-newbie, so I might have forgotten somthing...but what?
Please help anyone/Olle?

Try deinstalling it, then make sure Legacy Mode is turned on and install it again.

Also check if you hosting provider runs PHP with Safe Mode Off. If they don't all sort of strange things can happen.

Oh, I guess that's the answer... Safe mode! Because that's on. So nothing to do then?

If you haven't done it yet, try setting up the FTP configuration options in the Joomla global configuration. Just set them to the same as the ftp account for your provider. This is a workaround to make extension installation work better.

After you've set that up, install the component again.

I am having the same problem. I activated ftp and reinstalled and I still do not see any items under the settings in configuration.
