JX Share Link question 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi there - I downloaded, installed, and activated this plugin, but don't see any instructions on how to use it. Is there a script that should be put into text articles so that the share link icon shows up? Thanks for any help.

This doesn't work... and I don't quite understand either how you want it to function. Don't I have to activate the plugin for each content-item...?? And if not, it still doesn't work! I get a parse error: "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/tryston.se/www/plugins/content/jxsharelink.php on line 18"

There is some description with the textfile included in the package.

But basically, all you need to do is install the plugin and then activate it from the plugin list. The default parameters should show a Share Icon below the text of all articles.

Editing the plugin from the plugin list in the Joomla Administrator Plugin page will allow you to change parameters for the plugin. These are described both by hovering over the title of each parameter, as well as in the included text file.

Please don't use another thread for completely different support questions.

It doesn't have to be activated for content items, it is automatically added to all articles.

Your parse error indicate that you have modified the files, or that they have become corrupt during install/upload.

It would also help if you could describe the versions of Joomla and PHP that you are running, and if you are running PHP in Safe Mode etc.
