Line breaks has stopped working 1 Year ago Karma: 0
Hello,

We have recently upgraded to joomla 1.5 from version 1.0% and we have one problem with the Jambook component. When entering a message in the guestbook, the data will not be displayed with saved line breaks.

For example:
I will write this text with linebreaks in guestbook:

Hello

This is a test

Fors

And when I show the guestbook it will be listed like this:
Hello This is a testFors

Linebreaks will be correct displayed when entering a article within the joomla website. Any hint what it could be?

Regards
Fors

Hi there,

I've the same. In general Jambook deletes all HTML tags, even if I did specify to leave them in. So also the <p>. Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks!

I seem to have the same problem on my freshly installed Jambook.
Running RC1 on joomla 1.5.10

I also cannot make new posts that contain smileys, if I do the smileys get striped?

If I edit in backend using the same editor I can add smileys.

Seems that all html is always stripped when posting from the frontend. Must be a bug with the added XSS scripting protection added in a recent release. I'll have to check it out.

Hi Olle,

Any luck with this one? It would be nice with a fix for the linebreaks.

Regards
Niklas

It should be a really easy fix, I just haven't gotten around to checking it out. Will try to soon. Please keep hassling me to get it finished, or I might forget (yet again).

Ok, give this updated version a try. It should fix the problem.

It also includes support for Akismet4Joomla spam check and a few other minor changes and fixes.

Great, will make a final release of Jambook based on this version. Except with better Akismet support.
