Is there a way to set a character limit for titles and content messages in jambook module? It could broke up whole template with a few really long posts.

There's currently no such feature, but I could add it in.

another suggestion .. it would be cool to have a possibility to also display nick of poster in jambook module .. something like Nick: content or title with (...) replacement at the end of the line if a character limit of the post is set

Title/description limit options has been added. I'll add an option to show username as well and then I'll release a new version.
