Jobline issue with js jobs, translation.php 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi

My problem is i cant translate anything. I edit spanish.php and move it but nothing changes.
I was using js jobs and had to remove it or it wont let me install jobline.

When i deleted js jobs one of the jobs entered on js jobs appeared on jobline

Iv'e tried in local host installing jobline and i can edit and translate spanish.php, but on my site on internet is impossible.

Any solution please? does js jobs and jobline have anything to do cause they are interfering each other.

The fact that I installed js jobs first now makes me impossible to edit spanish.php although i desinstalled js jobs already.

Thanks

That a job from jsjobs would show up in Jobline doesn't sound possible. Js Jobs would have to save the data in the Jobline database, and a search of the Js Jobs code doesn't turn up any references to Jobline.

The language file needs to be named the same as the short name of the installed language for it to work. For Spanish it's common to have a formal or informal version which might be called differently. Look through the the Joomla language package xml file and see if you can find the short name for it. Then rename the Jobline language file to the same thing.

Hi, It seems I had problems with permissions, the only solution for me was to edit spanish.php add it on jobline.zip desinstall and reinstall jobline, that solved it.

About the job, I can assure you, a job that was not created with your application appeared there and I think it was created with js jobs or jp jobs.
I had to delete a folder named jobline before I installed your component, cause another component had already named it jobline, so I guess your code was used by someone else, maybe i was wrong with js jobs but It happened twice.

Cheers

I'm glad it worked out for you. Sounds like a strange problem.

I've looked at both Js Jobs and JP Jobs. Neither of them contain any references to Jobline. From the looks of it, they're rather well written native Joomla 1.5 components which don't have anything to do with Jobline.

So the mysterious appearing job is a bit hard to explain. Jobline doesn't remove old jobs during deinstall though, so if you've used it at some point in the past, that could be the explanation.
